About Us
Multi-Sharp has been a specialist in sharpening tools in the UK for over 40 years. We’re not a general tool brand. Tool sharpening is everything we do, and that focus is applied to every product we make.
From chainsaw chains to kitchen scissors, from cylinder mower blades to wood chisels, our sharpeners are trusted by professional tradespeople and home users who expect the right result the first time.
Why most sharpeners won’t give you the results you want
Most generic tool sharpeners can put an edge on a blade, but that edge isn’t always the correct edge.
- A secateur sharpened at the wrong angle won’t cut cleanly, even if the steel is sharp.
- A chainsaw chain sharpened unevenly becomes harder to control and wears out faster.
- A chisel sharpened on a dry wheel can overheat, lose its hardness, and need to be re-ground from scratch.
Sharpness alone isn’t enough – the angle matters just as much. That’s the principle Multi-Sharp was built on, and it’s what makes our sharpening tools so effective.
What sets our sharpeners apart?
- The right angle every time
Each Multi-Sharp sharpener is made specifically for the tool it sharpens. A built-in Location Guide automatically sets the correct cutting angle. No measuring. No guesswork. No ruined blades. - The right material for the job
Different blades need different abrasives:
- Diamond for hard stainless steel
- Silicon carbide for tungsten carbide-tipped masonry bits
- Water-cooled wheels for chisels and plane blades to prevent overheating
We choose the correct sharpening material for every tool because using the wrong one can cause damage.
- Always up to date
Tools change over time – new mower models, drill bit profiles, or shear designs. We regularly review the market and update our sharpeners so they continue to work perfectly on the tools people are actually using.
What We Cover
Multi-Sharp sharpeners are available for tools across every area of the home, garden, and workshop.
- In the garden: chainsaws, secateurs, loppers, shears, rotary mowers, cylinder mowers, and general garden cutting tools.
- In the workshop: drill bits, wood chisels, plane blades, gouges, multi-tool blades, and other pointed tools.
- In the house: knives, scissors, cleavers, mezzalunas, and more.
If it has a blade, there’s a good chance we make the right sharpener for it.
Why It Matters
A sharp tool is a safer tool. It requires less force, gives more control, and does exactly what it’s meant to do. A blunt blade doesn’t just perform poorly — it’s harder to handle, more likely to slip, and puts more strain on both the tool and the person using it.
Regular sharpening also extends the working life of your tools significantly. Fewer replacements. Less waste. Better value over time. It’s one of the simplest forms of tool maintenance there is – and with the right sharpener, it takes minutes.
